A privacy policy that is mostly about what we do not collect.
Plain language, no dark patterns. Here is exactly how Mrkr handles data.
The short version
Mrkr is built so you can measure your website without collecting personal data about the people who visit it. In its default cookieless mode there is no cookie, no fingerprint, and no cross-site identifier.
What we collect from your visitors
In cookieless mode a visit is turned into an anonymous, salted hash that is used only to deduplicate within a single day, then discarded. We never store a name, email, precise location, or any identifier that can be traced back to a person.
If you switch on cookie mode for a site, a first-party cookie is used to recognise returning visitors across sessions. You are responsible for disclosing that in your own privacy notice.
What we collect from you
When you create an account we store the details you provide, such as your email and workspace settings, and standard billing information handled by our payment processor. We use these to run your account and contact you about the service.
Data retention
Aggregated analytics are retained for the period included in your plan, then removed. You can export your data at any time and request deletion of your account data by emailing us.
Your rights
You can access, export, or delete your data at any time. Because the default mode stores no personal data about your visitors, there is typically nothing about them to disclose, correct, or erase.
